I have purchased 18 Pro, but still unable to install it on my Dell Rugged laptop. All I get is a blank screen. New M.2 installed for this OS and USB installation media is lasted version.
Any tips on how to make some progress.
Are secure boot and fast boot in your BIOS turned off?
If you have a Dualboot with Windows, is also fast startup at energy settings tuned off?
What graphics do you have?
Can you please tell us the name/model of your computer?

Besides @Forpli's Questions: What Tool did You use to create the bootable USB Stick? Does Your BIOs run in UEFI or Legacy Mode?
In addition to @Forpli and @Ponce-De-Leon suggestions, you might want to check the SATA setting in your BIOS is AHCI not RAID. You should be able to switch it in Windows safe mode but best to make a back up.

If none of that works you may have to try some edits to the grub menu such as adding nomodeset
I had similar issues installing 17.3 Pro on my HP Envy machine but did eventually work through it with a lot of help from people on this forum. In my case ahci=noirq worked.
