I was abt to remove a particular extension, but instead I deleted the whole folder I think by this comand
sudo rm -r /usr/share/gnome-shell/extensions/
sudo rm -r ~/.local/share/gnome-shell/extensions/
now lot of things arent there, like
I cant switch to different layouts.
2.desktop options in zorin appearance gone.
3.scroll got glitched
4.idk but its lagging
please help.
Yes, that command removed all extensions.
Here are the .deb packages for the missing extensions. You can download all of them and if these downloads are the only .deb packages in your ~/Downloads folder, you can install all at once with
Thank you so much @Aravisian . Some packages could not be installed like media player, zorin trays, bottom panel..rest all extensions are back but the scroliing in the applications got reversed, though the scrolling elsewhere is fine.
In Settings > Mouse and Touchpad, can you check the option for "Invert Scrolling?"
It may be that I was not providing the most current .deb.
You can re-try the ones that did not work in the terminal, since you already have the Zorin OS repository.
You might try rebooting after setting the "invert scrolling" option appropriately - or logging out and back in.
I've never heard of it affecting applications disproportionately.
