There is!
You can install KDE Standard to get plasma desktop and some extra apps.
The command is:
sudo apt install kde-standard
This consumes less space.. around 300mb

No, because I don't know how to do that.
Holy!...... How did I miss that!....I am so sorry....By the way creating a backup was pretty straightforward from that point onwards, you just had to follow the on screen instructions. And of course there is a way to remove kde using the terminal. I am so sorry, I missed your post then.
Don't worry. Your data is not at risk (yet).

Zorin's desktop is not reinstalling.
It's okay

Try this:
sudo dpkg --configure -a
and then reinstall zorin desktop.

At this point if I were in your place:
I would boot into a live USB then backup all my files in an external hard disk. then reinstall Zorin OS Lite. Or if I really really wanted kde the I would install Kubuntu or KDE Neon.

I can't reinstall now because that will delete all my apps and now I don't have enough internet to reinstall all of them. It would something about 10 to 20 GB and I have a 2 GB per day limed data pac. It would be a very big struggle for me.
I am sorry...I can't help you any further. I am not a linux expert and don't find myself competent enough to fix your problems. In fact I have got only 5 months of experience with linux. As I have mentioned before...If I were in your place I would install Z 16 Lite or another lightweight distro. I understand the internet issue as well. For now I can only suggest waiting until others arrive. After all it is not morning everywhere in the world right now.
