I think the red works better than the orange one for a autumnal theme.
Orange is difficult and would not be my choice. There is a danger of the icons looking too light and faded, but if too dark they turn to brown. I think you have a fair balance between the two.
At least it is not roadworks hi-viz orange that would strain your eyes.
