When I click on a link my default browser Firefox opens but it is blank, nothing works..
I have to copy the link and then start Firefox myself and paste the link and then Firefox works great.
Only clicking on a link from my Thunderbird mail program means that I cannot do anything with the Firefox browser.
I use Zorin OS 17.1 Core and mail is Mozilla Thunderbird.
This sounds like an issue caused by the package format used by either Firefox or Thunderbird, or both. Take a look at these threads for more details:
Greetings - I was able to successfully install Zorin 17.1 the second time I tried but Firefox no longer exhibits anything when I click on a link from Thunderbird Email. The window comes up but it doesn't display anything.
in the meantime, I've set Chromium as my default browser but I can't figure out what switch to throw in Firefox Settings to fix the linkage problem from Thunderbird. Opening Firefox on it's own works fine except one of my 2 step verification pages also fails to appear. Any i…
Dear community,
I know that this is not a Mozilla Thunderbird Forum, but perhaps it may be related. I have Zorin Pro 16.3 installed and thunderbird Supernova 115.2.2 installed.
What should be simple is not. When I draft an email, and wish to place an attachment, I just can't. I absolutely need click on the attachment button, then locate the file in the nautilus file explorer, then click open. Very annoying.
Has any of you encountered this problem? Related to Zorin?
Thanks,
Luc
After upgrading to Zorin OS 17 pro, Thunderbird is no longer able to open links using Firefox. I found some instructions online for setting the default browser but it didn't work. I also installed an extension called "open with" but that doesn't work either. Any idea how to fix this? Is it because FF is now a flack pak?

Very good, thank you very much.
I uninstalled Firefox flatpack and installed Firefox.deb.
Problem has been solved.
