Well, thanks. I think the developers of Zorin OS have a lot of experience in creating start menus. There are many integrated - some free, others available in the paid version. The Windows 10 menu would be a real asset. Everyone who used the Windows 10 menu under Windows 10 hates the Windows 11 menu and Microsoft is only making it worse and worse.
I also don’t need a 1:1 copy of Windows. I only want the good things. That’s not very much
I installed Linux in August 2025. I don’t think I would have been using it for this long if I were completely dissatisfied.
I'm glad you've switched from Windows to Linux and stayed with it.
I installed Win11 in 2021 shortly after it was released. I tried for close to a year to try to learn to appreciate it, but it only got worse as time went on. I then installed Zorin, went through the initial weeks of frustration trying to learn a new system, but then realized I love having control over my OS once again. While I've distro hopped a bit, I've never looked back to Windows. Now, in the rare times that I have to do something in Windows, I feel so lost.
